The Jiamini day center started “sack farming” a month ago. The soil is filled into sacks and planted with vegetable seeds. This project was carried out by the children under the supervision of Stanley Kibue (manager). "Sack farming" is very space-saving and therefore also possible in the slum. This week the first vegetables were successfully harvested and distributed to the children and their guardians. In the future, Jiamini plans to distribute 2-3 sacks to the legal guardians so that the families can plant and harvest their own vegetable garden in the sack.
