We are very pleased to be able to show you new and current pictures from the day care center. On Saturday, November 7th, the first children came back to the day care center. We are happy that all children can again be looked after personally by the social workers at Jiamini.
In addition to join games such as tic-tac-toe and hangman, there are also essential sequences. Hygiene measures, non-violent communication, language promotion and social behavior are the current topics.
That all children can regularly visit the day care center, they were divided into three groups. As a result, every child takes part in the educational and social offers several times a week.
Feedback from the Jiamini CBO Manager (Stanley Kibue) shows that Jiamini has a significant impact on the children lifes. Certain undesirable behaviors have been reported by the children after they have not been at the Jiamini day care center for so long. The time during the closure and the associated closeness to the negative aspects of the slum has probably had a strong influence on some children. We are pleased that all children are participating in the Jiamini program again and that their behavior is improving. This cannot be taken for granted and is largely due to the educational influence of the team on site.
