The Jiamini CBO has long maintained a partnership with two elementary school in the Kiandutu slum. Here, the social workers regularly hold "life skill lessons". In particular, the topics of drugs, menstruation, hygiene and personal goal setting have been the focus of recent lectures. Jiamini has now also been asked by Joy Town Secondary School to give such lectures.
As this is a school for children with disabilities, the lectures were adapted to their special needs. The team is very much looking forward to giving "life skill lessons" here too in the future.
